Response to Complaint Number [redacted], [redacted]RE/MAX Bryan-College Station is a reputable company and deals fairly with its clients. But, there are property management rules that govern how routine business is handled. The complaint in question deals with the subletting of a bedroom in a 4...

bedroom home.  The original tenants deposit was scheduled to be returned once the sublet tenant submits their deposit. This is ordinary and customary accounting practice. The new tenant had not been informed about the deposit by the previous tenant prior to her moving in. She was put on a payment plan. Regardless of that fact, the [redacted] refund check was written on December 3rd, 2017 and mailed during the first week of December, 2017.  The check cleared their bank on December 15th, 2017. The [redacted] expected to get a refund of $450.00 but received$525.00 (which included their portion of the pet deposit). They received$75.00 more than expected. Overall, this was just a communication problem and the [redacted] did not understand the rental subletting process.  They have been refunded in full and their desired settlement was paid before this complaint ever was published. Attached is a copy of the check written and when it funded.  I do not believe the [redacted] were treated unfairly in any way but, instead followed standard property management guidelines for return of deposits. [redacted]RE/MAX Bryan-College StationBroker/Owner[redacted]College Station, Texas 77845[redacted] office[redacted] cell
