We are very sorry to hear about this disappointing process inconsistency with your recent purchase of the Blue Diamond Oven Roast Dark Chocolare Almonds.
The information you provided; however, is very helpful and is being presented to our Quality as well as our Operations teams to determine the root cause. They will be required to look at all production records for this product you are contacting us about, as well as examine processing equipment to ensure they are operating within specification. Additionally, have run reporting to identify any other possible like consumer complaints that may have been logged in our system, and at this time, this is an isolated incident as this is the only like complaint.
When you contacted our offices on Nov 3rd about this issue, our agent had sent out a letter of apology and included a postage-paid return pack so that we could retrieve that bag for our QA evaluation and examination. To date, we have not received it back.
Our Quality team would appreciate the opportunity to physically evaluate that package if you would be willing to allow us to retrieve it from you. If you wish, we can return it to you (unopened) once they have had a chance to examine the bag.
Blue Diamond takes such quality matters very seriously, and we appreciate your bringing this to our attention.
Please accept our sincerest apologies for the disappointment that this has created and the obvious loss of confidence in our brand. We would like to have the opportunity to regain that confidence, and will gladly send you the requested replacement product.
We will await to hear from you regarding retrieval of this product, and will arrange to have that sent out to you following the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Final Business Response
On 12/3/13 the incident product was received back from the consumer by our Consumer Advocacy representative.
This product has been submited to our Quality Assurance Director for immediate evaluation. We will follow-up with the consumer once we have information from our QA Director.
The consumer has been compensated with replacement products.
