I contracted with Bedrock Construction Group at the end of March, 2016. Due to no fault of this business, the work began in July, 2016. This job was to take 2 weeks and the final payment was made in November, 2016 (much longer than the 2 weeks which was verbally stated). I would not have minded the length of this project if the work product would have been great, but I can only say the work product was sub-par at best. I had a new driveway and walkway put in, new sprinkler system put in, front yard regraded and resodded. There are two parts to this project that I am extremely unhappy with. The front yard is one of them and the driveway/walkway is another. Relating to the regrading of the front yard, you can see the dips in the yard since it was not smoothed out like it should have been. There were two trees that were removed prior to this job starting and there were many tree roots that were removed, but not a final grading of the property (I will have to spend more money to fix with the placement of sand). The other one is the brand new driveway/walkway that was poured. I have a crack that goes all the way across the driveway already. I was told "there are two types of concrete........concrete that cracks and concrete that is going to crack". Also, during the "curing process", the sub-contractor had placed a garbage can lid so water from the gutter wouldn't fall directly on the curing concrete and a smoothing tool next to the downspout so it would have less of an impact on the curing concrete. These two objects left stains on the concrete that were not able to be painted over without still seeing them. The final solution was to place a 2-part epoxy (that was used on an inside floor for a commercial project that they had) in order to cover the stains. While it did cover the stains, when the driveway/walkway gets wet, it is very slippery and this can place an unneeded liability upon myself, not to mention I could fall as well. I brought this to the attention of the contractor who stated that if I wanted him to work out a price to resurface the driveway/walkway to let him know. I am going to have to pay another contractor to fix the work that I had paid Bedrock Construction for. I know that the laws in this state do not protect the consumer as much as they protect the contractor. This company has been paid in full (very close to $10k). My purpose for writing this review is not for any restitution but for the next person to be aware of the run-around and sub-par work that this company provides.
