Review: On March 29 2013 I purchased a brand new handgun (NOT a used one) at B & B Pawn due to a strange man standing in my front yard at 5am the prior morning. The following morning I searched for somewhere I could purchase ammunition, and found a store in the area. The owner of the store is a Certified gunsmith who is also licensed to work on law enforcement & military weapons. He kindly showed me how to load and use the gun, but noted that the extraction piece was broken. He advised me that this could be dangerous because if fired it would expel one bullet then jam, could jam completely, OR even possibly misfire. I immediately returned to B & B Pawn with my purchase receipt & the gunsmith's card and conveyed what the gunsmith advised me of. I asked the owner of B&B Pawn since it was a new gun to please refund my money. He opened the gun, rubbed it with his finger and accused me of firing it. I told him I had no bullets, but he insisted "someone has fired this gun". (I later found out that ALL guns are fired ONE time at the factory before they can be sold to ensure they work). I explained that I had an immediate safety concern and to please refund me but he again refused and instead told me to "learn the laws of Va., he is not required, nor will he refund my money and that all sales are final". I became upset and told him it is unethical that he would refuse to refund me knowing that the new gun he sold me was useless AND dangerous & I was going to report him, but he said " Oh, I'm shaking in my boots lady, get OUT!" I then asked that he at least replace it & he said "No, you ruined that"! I returned to the gunsmith's store and another patron in the store stated that his friend had a similar experience w/the owner at B & B. The treatment and business practices of B & B's owner is egregious and unethical. I have a one income household so I do not have money to throw away. I was sold a brand new gun that I urgently needed due to the incident with the man in my yard, but I am now out hundreds of dollarDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of my money and I feel the owner of B & B Pawn should be fined and sanctioned for unethical business practices. Not only does he not care that he will be reported, but he sold faulty equipment as new that could have resulted in an injury or death.

Review: I attempted to purchase a firearm. I purchased it on my debit card while awaiting my background check on said rifle. The background check was eventually denied. I was then made aware that B&B [redacted] did not refund money back yet allows store credit instead.. No where visible in the store is this policy. The person working also did not say this either. When confronted them about their policy after I was made aware that they would not refund my money the statement of "this happens alot more than youkknow" was said.. I find these practices to be unfair and impractical.. It seems they are purposely misleading people. I do not want a store credit. I want a refund. When I went into the store to see if there was anything I would want to purchase I was treated poorly to the point that I was afraid that they wouldn't even honor that. Again I find these practices to be poor and[redacted].Desired Settlement: I would like a refund "not a credit" of all monies spent on the item. The items were never taken out of the store.
