Review: I dropped off my car and left my key on the night of 14/9/16t.
I wrote on the envelope that I wanted to have the oil changed on my 1994 [redacted]
and to check if the engine was flooding (which it had done before and they had fixed for me)
and t if the engine was flooded to have it drained.
for the status on 15/9/16
and was told that there had been an email sent to me with list of problems
that would come up if the car was being inspected because it was overdue for inspection.
I was also read a list of problems over the phone.
I did not ask for any further work to be done.
I had a friend take me to the car
I paid for the oil change and asked for a list of the problems.
I got the list, my receipt and key.
Immediately I noticed that the air conditioning was not functioning at all.
I tried pushing some different buttons and the fan would not work at all.
There was no issue with the air conditioning system whatsoever when I dropped it off.
I had not had any problems - it had been blowing perfectly on high and low fan strength for the entire summer
and since I purchased it 2 years ago.
I had my friend take me to get lunch and then drop me back off at the car so I could call and take it back to the shop.
When I called I spoke to the front desk attendant who put me on hold while he checked with one of the gentlemen in the shop.
He came back to the phone and said that the blower motor had been inoperable from the moment they got into the car.
I said I would bring it back right away for them to look at it.
I drove it back over and started to talk to that same young man
when the shop owner came out from the garage and began to berate me.
Shop Owner"Let's just get one thing straight we didn't DO anything to your car. And I can overhear you and you are saying that we did and we didn't"
Aleen "I didn't say that. I said that I have to have A/C in the heat we have right now. It was working perfectly before I got here."
I don't have enough letters in this form to finish what he saiDesired Settlement: I want my air conditioning to be working as it was before I dropped it off,
but I do not feel comfortable with this business owner based on the way he spoke to and treated me
He was very condescending to me even as I began to cry.
His front desk attendant was standing there the whole time and can attest to the way I was treated.
I said to him that I didn't want to be treated that way
and asked to speak to someone else.
He said "I'm it unless you want to pray to the Lord"
He tried to continue to berate me
and I asked him to please give me back the list of problems
he acted like he wasn't going to give it to me
and I said that I needed it because my receipt was attached to it.
I have NEVER been treated like this from this particular business
the particular person
or anyone else.
This is completely unacceptable behavior for how we treat people in Charlottesville or any other place of business.
I repeatedly asked him not to use that tone or yell at me and had to ask him to let me speak
