We would like to take this opportunity to explain our side - and also show that we attempted several times to make this customer happyOur records show that on 8/we billed for a NYS Inspection (which we have to charge $pass OR Fail), Mount and Balance tires and a front end alignment On 10/the customer returned and our work order says "Front Passenger Tires leaking air, please plug if possible and remount" The follon that order shows that the tire was not salvageable The customer picked up their car with no monies charged that day There was No mention of the NYS inspection or the alignmentThe next time the customer returned (10/20), she entered yelling about her inspection not being done We did the best we could looking through records to find any reference to her car or that day We did have a change in computer systems (9/1), but the only 'inspection reports' that would have been possibly found would have been if the car had been plugged into the NYS inspection system When she began yelling, one of our mechanics came in and offered to check that computer for her - and to reprint her NYS inspection sticker for her We found that it was not entered on that date There are two legitimate possibilities - 1) the inspection never being done, 2) the vehicle not passing the NYS safety portion of the inspection so that it was never plugged in (You must pass the safety portion to then be plugged into the system for the Emissions portion of the inspection) The customer was yelling and caught me off guard so when I asked what would she like me to do to make it right - she asked for her money back I refunded her $no questions asked During this visit, there was NO discussion of the alignment or anything other than the inspection11/The Customer calls and explains that she had a wheel problem in which the wheel fell off when her daughter was driving I told her to bring the car in as soon as she could and we would take an immediate look at it When the customer came in I recalled that the reason we never found her 'inspection report' in the system is because it never made it to the 2nd portion of the inspection to be plugged into the OBDII (NYS system) I erroneously did recall a mirror - during that discussion, but later during that discussion was reminded by my tech that that was possibly another car I was remembering She told us first that we charged her for an alignment but didn't do one She then told us that we'd left a nut loose doing the alignment and her wheel could have fallen off We did not bring the car in - but by visual, my tech found no evidence anywhere on the car of a wheel falling off, ie...dents, body damage, etc She also had zero documentation from the other shops she visited to back up her claimsI immediately offered, as did my tech, to bring her car in and give her another alignment free of charge We asked several times what would she like us to do to make her happy It's very difficult to take another repair shop's 'word' without speaking to them directly, seeing a written report or photos or letting us put eyes on the vehicle again We simply wanted to put the car up on the alignment rack, check our work and redo if we needed to She was having none of itI had witnesses in the room - one customer and one supplierOnce she left, both claimed - 'Wow' you tried everything you could to make her happy and she was just not having itWe run a reputable, dependable business built on years of trust and honest We absolutely do not lie to our customers now or ever I legitimately tried to make her happy by offering another alignment or whatever she wanted me to doShe stormed out

Mr [redacted] called and did ask about cost which was explained to himFrom the start it was not He had stated at that time he had some work done in Las Vegas and still had a bounceWhen the car came in we started to pull the tires off the first tire we did one lug nut broke and another came off hardThat is when I gave him a call and told him what was happeningHe said to stop and he would come up and loosen them himselfWe had moved the car outside by that time and it was sitting in front of our office areaWhen he arrived he did loosen the rest of the lug nuts with no further damageHow ever he was using a long breaker bar and jerking them to loosen them which indicated there where very tightI did charge him hours to replace one lug stud and two lug nuts this includes removing the brake caliper and replacing the one studThis would normally be at least hours or more depending on the time spent to do the operationWe do use impacts to remove tires all the time with no issues had we continued on we probably would have had the same results he had with the breaker barIt is not our goal to try and charge anybody unneeded labor but how is it our responsibility when we never touched this car before It is our policy to put tires back on with hand torque wrench The total bill on this job was including parts

I am rejecting this response because:My Cadillac had no tears, cuts, abrasions or rot in the seats prior to delivery to Auto Stop on May 22, It is a very well cared for original Cadillac with only 41,miles on it.The original purchaser owned it years before leaving it to his grandson who owned it for the next years I am years old I bought the Cadillac on 12/30/with 39,miles I drove it 2,miles in and miles in spring before leaving it with Auto Stop on May 22, 2016.When I picked the car up at Auto Stop June 23, it had the tears in the in the upholstery where the driver's butt would be They are sharp cuts in good fabric, not a worn area There are no worn areas. The cover is a premium custom cover guaranteed to withstand MPH wind, rain, hail, snow, bird droppings & UV rays It was new January, When I picked it up at Auto Stop on June 23, it had a 9" tear by the left front tie down strap My guess is it was yanked without releasing the front tie down

We fixed the check engine light and steering wheelNothing was wrong with the shocksWe offered to replaced the DVD player at our cost and we needed a deposit, but the consumer never provided it

The customer brought truck in on 5/18/with some drivability issues we assisted him with changing the fuel filter,Ignition coil, and ignition resistor, it seemed at the time to remedy the symtoms the truck just quitting at timesWe only charged for parts cost only NO laborThen in 1st week of August the customer returned stating he had replaced the carborator and problem solvedPrior to replacing carborator he had stated several other people had been working on the problem and the carborator is missing parts now. Then the customer is demanding where I purchased the carborator from the firm that I got the manifold and caoborator from is the sameday warranty from time of purchase August I respectfully say there is not a lot I can do at this point in timeBecause months to a year later I can not do much about a parts refund or a warranty at this time Thank you Nyle

I am saddened by the news that she is having buyer's remorseShe looked at the vehicle and made a decision to buy itWe do not offer a return policyWhen the finance manager was going to swap her into another vehicle, it was going to cost her more money, and she was not happy about itShe was not satisfied with what the manager was trying to doHe was making her an exception by swapping her out of the vehicle, but the one she wanted was more expensive

The customer brought truck in on 5/18/17 with some drivability issues we assisted him with changing the fuel filter,Ignition coil, and ignition resistor, it seemed at the time to remedy the symtoms the truck just quitting at times. We only charged for parts cost only NO labor. Then in  1st week...

of August the customer returned stating he had replaced the carborator and problem solved. Prior to replacing carborator he had stated several other people had been working on the problem and the carborator is missing parts now. Then the customer is demanding where I purchased the carborator from the firm that I got the manifold and caoborator from is the same. 90 day warranty from time of purchase August 2016. I respectfully say there is not a lot  I can do at this point in time. Because  10 months to a year later I can not do much about a parts refund or a warranty at this time.  Thank you  Nyle.

Due to consumer disability, I [redacted] are taking his verbal rebuttal response word by word. So the first time I brought it in it was before May of 2016 I brought it in and they went ahead and took a look and repaired it. They kept it for 4 months, Sept 2016. After that is when the problem starting occurring. The manifold repair was  used and how much they said it was 100$ , the carburetor was going to be brand new. So we agreed on that, and they showed me and that was fine. Once they put it in, I was asked to pick it up. The hood of the car was tilted and it was not like that when I brought it in and initially asked them to fix it. It was a bit off set. When picking it up it was very of set. I asked them to fix it.  At the time of moving the truck, I asked him(the owner) to fix the hood issues, and he got a really bad attitude. He was making fun of me and he thought I would not pay attention to that. I noticed they worked on other peoples cars and that doing a fine job, but my truck they did a [redacted] job. They ask if I wanted to re pollster the chairs in the car. I said no, I dont have the money for it. They also were supposed to paint in between were the car door window seal. I asked them to fix it. Also they painted the bed of the truck were the wheels meet was very dirty and its not a smooth painted finish, very grainy. I brought the truck back May 18, 2017 again and they looked it over and a few things I was having issues. He did a few things to it, fuel filter, the coil, and also resister and also the fuel pump. He put those 4 things that day. At that time I said the carburetor is the issues, they said no, that it was brand new. I left and on my way home it was the same issues, I initially took the car in for. I was around June almost July, I called due to issues that kept coming up. They told me they were on vacation. So I went to a different shop. I know for many years and good guy. He told me that the carburetor was not new and they missed a few parts. I was disgusted. I feel scammed about this. I bought a new carburetor and had it installed. The old carburetor they gave me, that suppose to be new I took it to the business and showed them the used carburetor, we went back and forth on the issue. I thought had the original receipt, but I coudn't find it. I had to take mom to hospital and couldn't locate the original receipt. I called for a copy of the receipt. They sent it to me, but I noticed they changed a few things on it.I left the carburetor they installed at there shop, I'm not sure what they with it at this point. What I actually paid for manifold $149 and the carburetor was $289. The new receipt says I paid $289 for used manifold and brand new carburetor was $149. Which actually a brand new carburetor is normally over $300 brand new. I would like to know what store they bought the manifold from? They told me they bought if from FIRM, but to me it is not a real store. They couldn't provide me any proof. The said had 90 days warranty for the carburetor, since it was brand new. If it was brand new with warranty, I asked them to show me were it is at? They said they bought it through company friend. It its through a friend, I dont feel they would give them a warranty. We went back and forth about this, and he wouldn't give me the truth were it came from. My whole reason for my complaint is to get the money back for the carburetor the sold me under false information, which is still at their shop.

We would like to take this opportunity to explain our side - and also show that we attempted several times to make this customer happy. Our records show that on 8/15 we billed for a NYS Inspection (which we have to charge $21 pass OR Fail), Mount and Balance 2 tires and a front end alignment. ...

On 10/3 the customer returned and our work order says "Front Passenger Tires leaking air, please plug if possible and remount".  The follow-up on that order shows that the tire was not salvageable .  The customer picked up their car with no monies charged that day.  There was No mention of the NYS inspection or the alignment. The next time the customer returned (10/20), she entered yelling about her inspection not being done.  We did the best we could looking through records to find any reference to her car or that day.  We did have a change in computer systems (9/1), but the only 'inspection reports' that would have been possibly found would have been if the car had been plugged into the NYS inspection system.  When she began yelling, one of our mechanics came in and offered to check that computer for her - and to reprint her NYS inspection sticker for her.  We found that it was not entered on that date.  There are two legitimate possibilities - 1) the inspection never being done, 2) the vehicle not passing the NYS safety portion of the inspection so that it was never plugged in.  (You must pass the safety portion to then be plugged into the system for the Emissions portion of the inspection) The customer was yelling and caught me off guard so when I asked what would she like me to do to make it right - she asked for her money back.  I refunded her $21 no questions asked.  During this visit, there was NO discussion of the alignment or anything other than the inspection. 11/6 The Customer calls and explains that she had a wheel problem in which the wheel fell off when her daughter was driving.  I told her to bring the car in as soon as she could and we would take an immediate look at it.  When the customer came in I recalled that the reason we never found her 'inspection report' in the system is because it never made it to the 2nd portion of the inspection to be plugged into the OBDII (NYS system).  I erroneously did recall a mirror - during that discussion, but later during that discussion was reminded by my tech that that was possibly another car I was remembering.  She told us first that we charged her for an alignment but didn't do one.  She then told us that we'd left a nut loose doing the alignment and her wheel could have fallen off.  We did not bring the car in - but by visual, my tech found no evidence anywhere on  the car of a wheel falling off, ie...dents, body damage, etc.  She also had zero documentation from the other shops she visited to back up her claims. I immediately offered, as did my tech, to bring her car in and give her another alignment free of charge.  We asked several times what would she like us to do to make her happy.  It's very difficult to take another repair shop's 'word' without speaking to them directly, seeing a written report or photos or letting us put eyes on the vehicle again.  We simply wanted to put the car up on the alignment rack, check our work and redo if we needed to.  She was having none of it. I had 2 witnesses in the room - one customer and one supplier. Once she left, both claimed - 'Wow' you tried everything you could to make her happy and she was just not having it. We run a reputable, dependable business built on 40 years of trust and honest.  We absolutely do not lie to our customers now or ever.  I legitimately tried to make her happy by offering another alignment or whatever she wanted me to do. She stormed out.
