Aussie Moving

Review: On October 1, 2014, I contacted [redacted], the owner of Aussie Moving in Santa Barbara. We agreed that his company would move four items from my mother's apartment to my house (a distance of approximately two miles), on October 4, 2014 at 9am. The price quoted to me was $125, slightly more than the normal $120 hourly rate.Two employees arrived and did a quick and efficient job. When the bill was presented to me, I was told it was $180 dollars. I balked and asked why? It was explained to me that I was also being charged for the truck being driven from the lot to my mother's apartment and back again from my house. I refused and said that nothing of the kind had been discussed with me. The employee changed the bill to the agreed-upon $125, but intimated that he would be responsible for paying the extra. I then said I could go up to $150. He wrote something down, and I signed the bill. After they left, I looked more closely at the receipt. What the employee had done was not change the $125 charge, but add "$25 tip to employee" underneath the bill! In no way did I authorize that! I was aghast, and immediately called [redacted] the owner to complain.I was not able to speak with him until today, October 6. He thanked me for calling him, but did not offer to refund the extra $25. I told him it was dishonest and fraudulent, and that it reflected poorly on his business. He said he would talk to his employee. I kept waiting for an offer of reimbursement, but none came. He even said that they do not charge for driving to a residence unless that residence is 20 or more miles away, yet still, no reimbursement. He even commented on how just two weeks ago, when he moved my sister, his company made a $300 mistake and had to reimburse her. I'm wondering now how many others are out there?Desired Settlement: I would like the $25 refunded that was dishonestly acquired from me.
