My son signed up for an account with this business (using my credit card for payment as he was a minor at that time). There contract clearly states that you can cancel your membership at any time. However, when you click 'cancel membership' on the website nothing happens and there is no email reply confirming that the membership is cancelled. They have continued to charge my credit card $9.45 for the past 12 months despite the fact that we have not used their services, have tried to cancel the membership many times AND have tried over 20 times to contact them to resolve the issue. They have never replied by phone or email. I have tried to contact them through social media. On Facebook there were a number of people in the same situation and when we started talking about it they closed their Facebook page.
I have opened a dispute with VISA to try and get my money back but VISA only covers 4 months. And Atleta continues to charge me so then I have to keep going back to Visa.So my issues are:
- billing/ collection
-contract
-customer service

We entered into a service agreement with Atleta.ca to help our daughter find a university volleyball team to play with. We agreed at that time to have our credit card billed $9.95 per month for that service. There was no long term contract. After she secured a place on a team we informed Atleta that we wanted to end the arrangement. Our Credit card continues to be billed to spite 4 e-mails to Atleta requesting that the billing stop. My most recent e-mail informed Atleta that I would be taking the step of informing the Revdex.com of the issue but no response was received.
