This business closed in March however I am still getting charged a membership fee for a service I cannot use. I have repeatedly tried to contact the gym and have gotten no response. The management company that takes the payment will not stop the payments either. I understand the state guidelines but common sense would also be not to charge someone for a service that cannot be used please let me know what can be done for this situation.
Dear members, Per the recommendation of the CDC, we have temporarily closed the doors to our business. We support the decisions made by our government officials and believe that taking aggressive steps such as these will ensure the safety and security of our customers, employees, and communities as we pull together to overcome this pandemic. This has been a rapidly changing situation, but our approach to managing this situation is as follows: We will follow the guidelines recommended by the President and mandated by our local and state governments and expect (hope) this forced closure does not last longer than 30 days. In the event the shutdown lasts longer than 30 days the below guidance will be subject to change. All memberships will draft as planned for the next 30 days. After that, all billing will be frozen until we reopen. All members will be able to receive a credit on the back end of their membership for the time that we are closed. The Anytime Fitness App provides valuable coaching, access to over 1,000 workouts, and guidance in times when a visit to your gym might not be an option. If you do not have the Anytime Fitness App, you can download it from the Apple or Android app stores. NOTE: You’ll need the number on the back of your key fob to activate. And finally, we want to thank you in advance for your understanding in this unprecedented circumstance, especially as new ownership. We are truly grateful for having the opportunity to serve you to this point and we look forward to being able to do so again as circumstances permit, with a big party and some big club enhancements. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me and the matter has been resolved. I will continue to monitor my account for further charges, if charged again I will reengage with your office.
