Review: My car was transported by We Move For You, Inc. from [redacted], Texas to [redacted], California. The car was picked up by the We Move For You Inc.'s driver on 08/29/2012. Car info: 2008 BMW 535 xi, Color: Gold, last 6 digits of VIN: [redacted]. The car was delivered on 09/09/2012 with damages on the front bumper and the right hand side molding/rocker. I contacted We Move For You, Inc. and I was asked to submit the documentation related to the claim and I submitted the necessary documents to them. I tried to contact the company numerous times after I submitted the documents, and I was told that these claims were handled by their manager who never responded to my phone calls or voice mails. I also filed a claim with their insurance company. The insurer is the [redacted] and the insurance adjuster working on this case is [redacted] ([redacted]). The claim no is [redacted] and the [redacted] file no is [redacted]. The insurance adjuster ([redacted] of [redacted], ###-###-####, [redacted]) inspected my car and prepared an estimation for the damage caused by We Move For You, Inc. Even though the insurance adjuster made many attempts to receive the needed documentations from the company, We Move For You, Inc. has not acknowledged these calls, has not cooperated with the insurance adjuster, has been extremely slow, has either given very minimal information or totally ignored these requests. No tangible action has been taken towards the compensation of the damage on my car.
In addition, about the delivery time, the estimated transport time was five days, however the car was delivered on 09/09/2012, i.e. six days later than the estimated time.Desired Settlement: I need to get compensated for the damage on my car that was done by We Move for You, Inc. I can provide any related documentation and evidence , i.e. pick-up/delivery receipts, pictures showing the damage, letters sent to We Move You, Inc by the insurer and so on.
Review: My 2011Altima, was being transported from [redacted] to [redacted]. At pick up a sheet was marked that there were scratches and dings on the car which I signed. I took pictures of the car before it left [redacted] and my son took pictures of it being dropped off in [redacted]. You can see the before and after damage. The owner of the company is claiming it is normal wear an tear. I sent a copy of the pictures to the company. He still insist they did not damage it. Also the car was to go direct to Y but it was in [redacted] and then flat bedded and that was where a lot of damage occurred.Desired Settlement: Repair the damage. They are wrong . Picked up date was 4/19 drop off 4/29/13

WeMoveForYou, Inc. provided a service for [redacted]
and her family members and has been paid in full for the service rendered. The
service rendered is the transport of a vehicle (2011 Nissan Altima) from [redacted] to [redacted], as requested by [redacted] through
brokerage company [redacted].
As specified on the back page of our
Bill of Lading/Vehicle Condition Report (Doc D), “Shipper agrees to pay
freight charges in full at time of delivery regardless of any pending claims.
Claims are handled independently from vehicle transport fees.” (note 6).
Thus, in order to file a claim [redacted] needs to follow the procedure as
stated at the bottom of our Bill of Lading under “To File A Claim:” (Doc
D). Thus, WeMoveForYou, Inc. will not be issuing any credit or authorizing any deductions pertaining to the above charge.
[redacted] is disputing the $850.00
charge on the grounds of vehicle damage. However, the $850.00 is due for the transport service rendered from [redacted] to [redacted], ** by WeMoveForYou, Inc. in a
timely and effective manner, separate from any other claims. Our company
cooperated with [redacted] from the beginning when she called our
office after delivery to [redacted] and made the initial complaint. She stated
that there was damage to her vehicle that was not present during its pick-up in [redacted] when our driver prepared the inspection report.
She complained about a light scratch at the bottom of the front bumper and a
scratch to the bottom rail on the rear passenger door. We investigated the
claim she had made with our office and due to
the fact that these two scratches had been marked on our Bill of Lading/Vehicle
Inspection Report at time of pick-up, we had no choice but to deny the claim. These damages were pre-existent. Please
refer to a copy of our Bill of Lading/Vehicle Inspection Report (Doc C) which is
marked with all damages of the vehicle including, but not limited to, the two spots [redacted] complained about. In addition, [redacted] provided our office with two pictures of her vehicle which were taken before she shipped it with us. These pictures are not acceptable because they were taken in a shaded garage at an angle that fails to properly show the particular spots [redacted] complained about.
According to carrier-broker agreement [redacted] ([redacted]’s son) was supposed to pay the driver directly on
delivery in a form of cash, money order or cashier’s check payable to our
company’s name, WeMoveForYou, Inc. (Doc A). While our company only accepts
credit cards in case of emergencies and down payments, we decided to make an
exception for [redacted] to pay for the full transport service as a
convenience with a credit card because her son did not have any money on
delivery. She authorized our company to do so and this decision was firm
without any duress from WeMoveForYou, Inc. or its agents.
Conclusion:
No credit will be issued to [redacted]. The damage claim is declined.
