I had a leaky coolant system that significantly worsened on 12/23 and took it here because it was close to my house. They pressurized the system and I had several leaks around the the thermostat housing, which is a known issue with my vehicle (expensive parts, minimal labor costs). The issue ended up being more extensive, as the intake manifold gasket was leaking oil/coolant as well (cheap part, heavy labor costs). Overall, the repairs were just over $900. That's a tough bill to swallow so close to Christams.
It is always difficult trusting auto repair shops, but since I don't have the knowledge or wherewithal to fix this issue myself, I had to let go of that and move forward. My coolant system was ready to blow and I knew this. I was putting extra coolant in every few days for the past month just to keep the level up. It was also 12/23 and most shops were not going to be open in the days coming. I couldn't afford to wait either as I was on call on Christmas day and abosolutely needed relaible transportation. I put things off for too long and that was clearly my fault.
At the end of the day I feel like they had my best interests at heart. I was reassured that the vehicle would be fixed the same day -- and it was. The manager personally drove to the local dealer to get one of the parts because none of the suppliers in town had it -- above and beyond service.
Overall, I paid a lot (too much? Hard to say), but I feel like I was taken care of and my vehicle is going to continue to get me where I need to go every single time. ","pos-1

I brought my car in with specific repairs needed for engine problems. After a service technician drove my car he said there was no problem with the engine but that I had a problem with a rear bearing. After connecting my engine to the computer it showed there was a converter issue (engine problem) but still insisted that there was only a problem with the bearing. After explaining my concerns and that I had a limited budget which meant the repair needed to fix the problem I was concerned with. They pressured me to fix the bearing because as they explained, that would solve the driving issue and engine noise I was hearing. Once I picked up my vehicle I drove less than a mile from the shop and the problems I had experience were the same as before. I immediately returned the vehicle and before they looked at it again they said that they now believe it was one front bearing. They offered to install the new bearing for free if I bought the part either at their shop or any auto retailer. I told them I would do research and return Monday morning and let them know my decision and asked to speak with the owner. On Monday I dropped my vehicle off and asked them to be sure of the problem before I decided on having anymore repair work. They offered to take the rear bearing off, move it to the front and put my old back bearing on to save money. The owner called me stating the problem is now both front bearings. When I asked about the offer that was made previously he said they would not offer any kind of discount and that it "is your problem for letting them fix the wrong thing in the first place". He also said the old back bearing was not drivable when they removed it, yet they offered to put it back on. When I returned right away for my car the owner, [redacted], opened the front door and handed me my keys. He was very defensive and confrontational. When I explained why I'm upset because he said "I'm sorry you're starting your day out bad" and threatened to fight me by saying "do you wanna get down?!"Desired SettlementI was given parts and service for a problem that I didn't have with my vehicle. I would like to be reimbursed for that: $199.50 for labor, $212.00 for parts, plus sales tax (%7.725) $31.78= $443.28Business Response really, this guy came at 8:00 am on monday the 25th. he was very aggresive [redacted] said to me you are mine im going to kill you. I have several witnesses I will been filing a police report a press charges.he brought in a salvaged car with very little money to repair it. after his verbal threats he diles a compliant and goes on the internet him and his girl friend posting lies trying to defame the business. Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)Wow is that really a professional response? U think just making up some ridiculous lie of me threatening u is gonna solve your problems? First off this man threatened me over the phone whitch made me come down and be angry, then I'm asked if I want to fight about it, I never made any threats and my girlfriend was right there the whole time. I'm sure he has plenty of witnesses now, even though there was only one guy there at the time of him trying to fight me. From my research I see that this company never takes care of complaints through the Revdex.com and are very unprofessional about there business. At this time I will be filing a police report myself for fraud and for making threats, since this issue the owner has called me on my cell phone and made more threats towards me, whitch I will tolerate no more

I took my vehicle in because I was told that I was leaking coolant from my intake manifold gasket. They told me it would take all afternoon but when I came back for my vehicle after work that evening they proceeded to tell me that a lot of other things were wrong with it also ... ie... I was leaking into my heads and spark plugs were being affected. So I was quoted a price for that. I told them I didn't have that kind of money and would have to bring it back at another time. They then put my vehicle back together ... forgetting to plug a sensor back in so that it would cause my check engine light to come on, and I was still leaking coolant. I went and had a test done as to why my light was on and they recommended that I go to another mechanic. As he found the light (sensor unplugged) problem he also noticed that I was leaking coolant from my intake manifold gasket. I told him that I was just at a shop to have that fixed. All he could say was wow I don't know what they did but they didn't fix it ... cause I wouldn't still be leaking and badly at that!!Product_Or_Service: intake manifold gasket repairDesired SettlementI am seeking a refund. They didn't do the work I paid them for obviously!! The amount of refund is $670Business Response the car came in overheating with many problems we fixed the intake leak. customer was limited in funds the work that was payed for was performed. car still has many engine issues. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)My engine only had one issue that was not fixed!! You guys were just trying to suck more money out of me Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)You guys told me I had a blown head gasket and that I was also leaking into my spark plugs. But what you guys failed to do was connect a sensor so when I took my truck to another mechanic about the check engine light he discovered it was unplugged. Plugging it back in resolved that issue. He then noticed I was leaking around my fuel injectors upon further investigation he found the leak to be from my intake valve gasket. I told him I had that work done prior, and told him what was told to me. He checked it out and said it was untrue. Fixed what you DID NOT fix .. problem solved!! No further issues with my truck!! Final Business Response this the 3ard time this letter has been answered. [redacted] had many leaks on her car we fixed some one of them that was the intake .she was on a tight budget. the car still needs seversl repairs stilled and she was imformed at the time. thank you

Business performed significant repair work on the car without approval from the owner. They clearly took advantage of a teenagerTeenage daughter visited the shop for what she thought would be a fairly minor repair. The Manager ended up doing nearly 1,000 worth of repairs without the consent of a parent. I am convinced that several of the parts did not need to be replaced but could not verify it as the Manager discarded parts before I could inspect. The Manager was very defensive and adamant that he had her approval and the work was necessary. He made no effort to provide old parts or support for his diagnostics. Additionally, they installed the wrong wheel a few days later and told my daughter that they couldn't install the wheel cover because it was broken. Another false statement by someone who is supposed to be knowledgeable. The fact was that the wheel was the incorrect wheel for that car. This was determined by another Manager when we returned the following day. The shop made it right by ordering a new one. My point is that they clearly demonstrated that they cannot be trusted to be honest and truthful and took advantage of a minor child by doing more work on the car than necessary. This is exactly why that industry gets a bad reputation. Desired SettlementSince the parts are in fact on the car and the old parts have been discarded, I feel a fair settlement would be a refund for half the amount of the invoice or $475. This amount represents labor costs and a small amount of the profit from parts. Business Response old parts were never requested. the daughter shamed the front suspension on impact. she autherized the work. she also called her father and made him aware. the work was done the same day . we install a universal wheel to save cost to the customer. then we replaced it with a orignial wheel which paid much more for and took a lose on the returned wheel. then I got harrassing phone calls about the work we did. we have no control of how people drive our job is to repair cars a thsts what we didConsumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)inaccurate on several accounts and zero ownership by the business. The fact is that I was made aware of the repair AFTER the work was done, parts were discarded when my wife showed up to get them, the wrong wheel was installed and they knew it but chose to tell my daughter that the wheel covers were damaged and that's why it didn't fit. this is further evidence of their dishonesty as a repair shop. They really have a problem if their definition of customer service is harassment. Final Business Response response was sent the duaghter came in autherized the work she notified he father the work was done.Final Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)lets be honest here... I wasn't made aware of anything until the work was completed. There is serious doubt that a couple of the parts were in fact damaged and the removed parts were not available for second opinion or inspections. [redacted] was aware of our intention to retrieve those parts. Your explanation for the incorrect/universal wheel being an intentional order to save the customer money is just another false statement. remember, you told my daughter the wheel cover wouldn't fit because the wheel cover was damaged. Who are you kidding? Just own up to it in your own mind. You will clearly not disclose it and it doesn't seem like you're willing to make it right. Just bad business as far as I'm concerned. It would have been a lot easier and better if we could have worked this out. Good luck with building a good reputation.
