I want to tell you about the great service we got from All Seasons , Inc in Tacoma, Wa. We are remodeling son’s home and he needed a new furnace. We choose to get a Heat Pump/furnace. I had several heating companies come out. We were most impressed with the All Seasons, Inc. Their sales advisor was Rick. He spent several hours explaining the whole procedure, wrote up the bid right then and there. We also had a Heat Pump Conversion rebate from our electric power company and he knew all about it. He used that rebate plus gave us a senior discount without us even having to ask. Rick was very knowledgeable and had other great suggestions in our remodeling project. Thank you Rick for such great honest advice.
As I said, we had several companies come out and All Seasons was not the least expensive or the most expensive. We felt that All Seasons was the best one for us and felt they were honest. When I first called for an appointment, I was amazed at how friendly the receptionist was. She gave us an appointment right away and followed up.
As we are remodeling, we needed measurements before the furnace was installed so we could build the right size closet for the new furnace. I called for measurements and again, Robin answered and right away said she would call back. She did in two minutes and said the owner of All Seasons was in the area and he would come right over to advise us. He was there in 10 minutes! Stayed a while, showed us and advised us on placement of some heating ducts and air ducts. Very friendly and helpful.
The install was a few days later. The guys, Nick and Brandon were right on time. They worked very hard on getting everything installed. They knew what they were doing, very friendly too and knowledgeable. I asked them if they liked working for All Seasons and their answer was oh yes, they take very good care of us. I guess that is why all the people we have dealt with from All Seasons are always friendly and happy, they have a good boss and company.
Clean up was perfect, job was done, we are happy. I went to their office to pay them and and again, everyone there was friendly and happy. Yes! I highly recommend All Seasons entire company to anyone needing ac/heating issues and new installs. I will be staying with this company for my future needs!
All seasons installed a heat pump for me in June 16. Last week this area was hit with below freezing temperatures. My heat pump performed great but one morning I heard it making a louder than usual noise on the outside of my home where the pump is positioned. I figured it was a normal operating noise but called all seasons to run it past them. I told the customer service rep, “the machine works great it is just making a loud noise is that normal?” He said, “*** I can have someone out there between 11 and 12:30 today.” Having never answered my question as to whether it is a normal noise or not I figured someone would come out take a listen and leave. Although I had two scheduled pick ups between 11 and 12:30 that day (I work as a taxi driver) I told him ok I’ll be here. 12:30 came and went with no sign of all seasons showing up so I called and spoke with the same man who said, “it’ll be 1.” I asked the person on the phone at that time, “do I have to be here? I’ve missed two pick ups already.” He said, “no but. We will need access to your house.” I stayed. The worker showed up at 1:15 I said, “the machine works fine but it made a loud noise is that normal? He said, “yes that is how it is supposed to operate in this cold weather it defrosts itself that way.” He never asked me if I wanted a diagnostic test or told me I was getting one I had no clue he was going to perform any service nor did I know he was the time that he was “running a diagnostic test.” About an 35 or 45 minutes later he knocked on my door and said I owed $132 I said I what? I had no idea you were charging me I then said it’s the holidays I don’t have that money laying around I mean I had this pump installed on tpu low income assistance program. “If you can knock fifty bucks off I may have enough in my account to pay.” He said let me check, he called spoke with the owner and said he was informed not to take anything off
Tell us why here.
I am sorry if there are any misunderstandings.
*** describes his complaint is about “Billing or Collection Issues”. However after reading his statement, it Looks like he does not want to pay for our service, or he wants to pay for only what he feels our service is worth to him. I will respond to each of his concerns in the following three sections.
1) Our customer service representatives are not licensed technicians and are not qualified to judge whether a sound is normal. Instead, they dispatched a licensed HVAC technician to your home on your request. We cannot ask a service technician to simply drive to your home, listen, and leave. They are highly trained professionals and deserve to be paid for their service.
2) We provide a two-hour service window for arrival. When reading you were quoted 1.5 hours, that prompted me to check our dispatch records. Our arrival window was 11:00AM- 1:00PM and our technician arrived at 1:11PM; making him 11 minutes late. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you. We have invested heavily into our state of the art dispatching program in efforts to minimize scheduling errors such as this.
3) Our service technicians do not have the latitude to negotiate prices. We currently charge $120 for residential diagnostic service. This does not even cover our operating expense.
If I am mistaken and this is truly a billing or collection issue, then I highly recommend our customer reach-out to us, so we may quickly resolve his concerns.

I am rejecting this response because: the key to my case are the words I spoke to your phone rep in which I stated, “my machine works great that is not the issue.” Also you “performed a service” without asking my permission or telling me I would be billed including never saying a tech would be at my house for 2 hours. Whatever expensive programming you are using to have techs arrive in the 3 hour window time frame obviously isn’t worth it, that’s not my fault or problem.
Sincerely
I think it is great news that your heat pump was not actually broken. However, you did make a request for us to send a technician to diagnose and verify that your system was operating within specification. I hope that your heat pump will continue to serve you well for years to come.
A REFERRAL to All Seasons was given to me. At my request, the company sent a salesman out to discuss putting in a new furnace. I am a single women who knows little to nothing about furnace/air conditioning units and was relying upon the honesty of the salesman and All Seasons. I specifically told him that I DID NOT need air conditioning - only a furnace because I have a window air conditioner. He emphatically told me that the units came with BOTH air conditioning and heat and that I could not purchase only a furnace - the system had to come with both, heat and air conditioning. There was no such thing as just a heating unit. They installed a 2.5 ton Carrier unit for a 1976 double-wide trailer (1200 sq. ft.) that I live in! I paid them $9,530.99. I live on Social Security. Also, on the back of the salesman's business card was a "referral statement." The person who referred me to All Seasons was to get $100 for the referral. I tried a minimum of six to seven times to get the $100 sent to the people who referred me, but to no avail! They never returned my phones calls or they kept telling me that they could not find a record as to where the referral people had ever done business with All Seasons. That was never stated on the "referral statement" on the back of the business card. To-date, no $100. The people who referred me to All Seasons recently (four days ago) called All Seasons to have installed a new furnace (as their heating system went out) and the person they spoke to was extremely rude stating they were, "too busy." I will be posting this on Yelp and every other media who provides reviews.
We do offer $100 whenever referred to friends and family. This is done when our business card get passed on to someone who then contacts us resulting on HVAC system purchase.
In this particular case, our business card was presented to us after ***’s heat pump system installation.
The intention of this program is to reward customers who entrust us to their friends and family by referral. It is very unusual to have details of a referral be provided to us after installation. We attempted to look up information in our system, however we could not find any record regarding the referred customer.
It appears *** may have taken our estimator’s business card, provided a name of someone she knew, then claimed herself as his referral. We explained to her on several occasions that this is not in the spirit of our referral program. To date, we have not seen any information to substantiate a connection between her friend and us. I apologize if her friend had later called us looking for service without resolution. I assure you, it is never in our interest to turn down opportunity.
Resolution:
Although in our opinion *** maybe manipulating the system in order to receive a $100 benefit that she is not entitled to (she mentioned “her friend could take her to dinner with the money”), we will send her friend “***” a check for $100 to compensate any trouble that they have been through.

I am rejecting this response because: First: I was given the salesperson's card at the end of the sales meeting so as to call him with any further questions or concerns regarding the installation. At that time I noticed the statement on the back of the salesperson's business card regarding the $100. I moved to Gig Harbor in April of 2017. I know NO ONE except my family who recommended this company to me. They did so, because they had done work for them in the past. The referral card says NOTHING about having to have previously done business with All Seasons. Second: If you noticed - NOTHING was mentioned at all in ALL SEASONS' response regarding my question as to why I needed a 2.5 ton heat pump/air conditioning system for a 1200 foot trailer. The cost to me - $9,530.99. And, again, as I pointed out to the salesperson, I already had an air conditioning unit in my kitchen window. What is their response to this question? They seem to have conveniently excluded that part of the complaint from their response.
Sincerely
I am sorry,
I thought I answered all of your questions some time ago.
Yes it is possible to purchase an electric furnace, but not a Carrier. Electric furnace installations are rare these days. A large portion of our business is removing electric furnaces and offering more efficiant options.
yes you saved energy this heating season over an electric furnace. Heat pumps are over twice as efficient than electric furnaces. This is a well documented fact. Although you may have been satisfied with the performance of your portable window terminal unit for your cooling needs, the majority of our customers purchase heat pumps for their energy saving benefits. The high efficient whole house cooling tends more to be a bennefit, not the primary reason for purchasing a heat pump.
please let me know if I can answer any additional questions.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me. Thank you for all the time spent on this particular situation. My main concern is to let others, who may not be familiar with heating/air conditioning systems, know that they do have a choice albeit, as you pointed out, not a better choice. Again, thank you.
