Review: I went to this salon which the owner runs out of her home for highlights. I paid her $145 and didn't notice any big problems till I got home and discovered there was a checkerboard pattern under the top layer of hair on each side of my head where [redacted] (the owner and stylist) had not pulled hair through the cap completely. It was clearly visible if I pulled my hair back in a pony tail, and it looked ridiculous. I asked her to repair the work and she said she could easily correct it. I figured she would just paint highlighting to connect the lines on the checkerboard pattern in my hair. I should have run out the door then, but was trusting. She proceeded to saturate my hair by dabbing a banana yellow color all over my head. Once dried, it looked like a neon yellow color. Even my boyfriend at the time, who was forgiving of my flaws, said it looked bad. I asked her to refund my money, but she became defensive and said that everyone makes mistakes and that I should be more understanding. Bottom line, this lady does not know how to do hair color and prospective clients should go elsewhere for those services. BUYER BEWARE.Desired Settlement: I would like to be refunded the $145 I spent for a terrible service. I subsequently needed to spend $130 having my already damaged hair repaired by a reputable salon ([redacted]) who knew what they were doing. The stylist at [redacted] was in disbelief at my hair. She said it was one of the worst she's seen and that she said I should get my money back.
